Guided
Walks
We can arrange a Guided Walk for your staff, business clients and
other organisations.
Walking and talking is one of the easiest ways to get to know each
other.
A walk in a healthy environment is invigorating and beneficial
for everyone.
These walks are tailored to suit the requirements of your organisation.
They can be moderate or strenuous mountain walks, or easier picturesque
walks through the hills and valleys.
The advantages of these walks to your organisation:-
• Helps business colleagues bond in a non work environment
• Helps promote better links with colleagues from other departments
• Provides a stress free day away from the work environment
• Helps clear minds of “day to day clutter”
• Improves morale; staff will feel valued, which will help with staff retention
• Improves fitness, which can lead to an improved performance
Please contact us with
your requirements and we will be delighted to provide a quote.
Treasure Hunts
An alternative option to a Guided Walk could be to try a Lake District
Treasure Hunt.
We design and organise team based Treasure Hunts for any size corporate
group.
Our Treasure Hunts are an entertaining way to find out a bit more
about The Lake District. It is amazing how much you walk past without
noticing, even when you think you know a place really well. Our
Treasure Hunts will highlight hidden gems, and in searching for
clues you will almost certainly discover other things you have never
noticed before.
These Treasure Hunts can be either a town trail based at one of
the lovely Lake District villages or towns, or a low level walk
through the Lake District countryside. They can be half day or full
day with an option to stop at one of the local pubs for lunch.
We can also design and organise a car treasure hunt around beautiful
parts of The Lake District.
Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your full requirements, and we
will be delighted to provide you with a quote.
General
Walks Information
The terrain in the Lake District is generally tougher than in many
parts of the country, and some footpaths can be steep and rocky.
Grading of walks can give some indication of the degree of difficulty,
but some people may find even the easy walks are too much. After
rain some footpaths will become waterlogged, and on steeper ground
paths can be quite slippery, so more care is required. If unsure
about whether a walk would be suitable on a particular day, please
contact us.
Grading
of Walks
Easy - generally good paths, no steep climbs or descents. Possibly
some stiles. Not remote.
Moderate - mainly reasonable paths, but some on steeper ground.
Possible small streams to cross. No summits climbed above 2,000
feet (615 metres).
Strenuous - mainly on paths, but some may be steep, rough or stony.
Could climb to summits above 2,000 feet (615 metres).
